Oral history opens new avenues of research for both fiction and non-fiction authors. At July’s meeting, Hale gave his presentation, ”Oral History and How to Interview Someone.” He interviewed Jim Webb, who is 89 years old and from Cisco, about Cisco’s unique people and its past. Dr. Duane Hale’s numerous books include My Heroes Have Always Been Loboes and Lady Loboes and The Santa Claus Bank Robbery and Its Impact on Eye Witnesses. He has instituted a decades-long oral history project through Cisco College to preserve the stories of our elders.
