
Talented author, librarian, and CWC member Helen Cozart spoke at the August meeting of the Cisco Writers Club. She offered tips to help us avoid writer’s procrastination and ways to write even when life is busy. Themes included getting started, routines, planning, goal setting, tools, distractions, editing, accountability, and self-care. It was an encouraging presentation. Thank you, Helen!
Helen Cozart is a librarian at Ranger College and is the author of numerous articles about the history of the oil industry and similar topics. Under the pen name Pearl Harper, she’s the author of Yesterday’s Dreams, an extensively-researched nonfiction book about dream interpretation during the Spiritual Age.
In earlier lives, Cozart taught History at Cisco College and served twenty years as an intelligence analyst in the US Army.
Cozart and her husband, John Stanton, have four grown sons, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
