November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. That means October is prep month, or Preptober. At the October meeting of the Cisco Writers Club, author and CWC member Helen Cozart led a workshop guiding us through four writing pillars: idea, character, world-building, and plot development. We are all better prepared to write our next story. Thank you, Helen!
Helen Cozart is a librarian at Ranger College and is the author of numerous articles about the history of the oil industry and similar topics. Under the pen name Pearl Harper, she’s the author of Yesterday’s Dreams, an extensively-researched nonfiction book about dream interpretation during the Spiritual Age.
In earlier lives, Cozart taught History at Cisco College and served twenty years as an intelligence analyst in the US Army.
Cozart and her husband, John Stanton, have four grown sons, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
