The beautiful Myrtle Wilks Community Center hosted Cisco Writers Club and their July Meeting featuring Dr. Linda Spetter. There was a wonderful turnout. Dr. Spetter, drawing on her doctoral thesis, defined folklore, gave examples of its use by literary giants such as Faulkner and Twain, and encouraged those present to incorporate folklore into their writings for flavor and authenticity. Everyone learned a lot and had a great time. Thank you, Dr. Spetter!
